Advocacy

• An advocate for policy and legislation which supports YOUR business, both in the state and nationally as we monitor trends and legislative changes which affect the hunting industry.
• Our lobbyist in Pierre monitors legislative issues and works for us to pass legislation supportive to the industry.
• Legislative Updates during the Legislative Session.
• Legislative Luncheon with State Legislators and Elected Officials – January 27, 2009.
• Attend Game Fish and Park Commission meetings.

Publications

• Three issues of the “Game Bird” newsletter in March, August and December.
• Each member receives a free listing in the SDSHA membership directory.

Member Benefits

• Sportsman’s Choice is the official feed of the SDSHA. 
• Members have an opportunity to serve on the Education, Membership, Government Affairs, Tourism, or Website Committees.
• General Board meetings are open to ALL members.  Meetings are normally held twice a year.
